Our Barbershop Mentorship Program is accepting applications for its inaugural class. It’s more than a haircut — it’s a pathway to confidence, career readiness, and belonging.
Our mentorship begins with mastering the craft. Participants learn every step of professional barbering — from tool maintenance and sanitation to advanced cutting, fading, and styling techniques. Guided by licensed, culturally competent mentors, youth gain real shop experience in a supportive environment that mirrors real-world conditions.
We emphasize not just how to cut, but how to think like a professional. Students practice hands-on under supervision, receive direct feedback, and progress through milestones that prepare them for state certification and future employment.
Each mentor’s goal is to turn curiosity into confidence — helping participants avoid early career mistakes and develop the technical precision, professionalism, and pride that defines a master barber.
